Goodbye 2013 don't let the door hit you on the way out
As we head into 2014, I have been watching many of my friends and family posting on Facebook about how 2013 treated them. My first gut reaction was that 2013 was a total CRAP year, but was it really? There were definitely parts of it that weren't good. A host of different issues, from careers to health issues were on my list of things gone bad in 2013. As I completely reflect though, I am reminded about many good things that happened too.
I became a part of Austin Jeep People with Tim and while we would have never had guessed it at the time, it has been one of the most amazing experiences that we've ever had here in TX. I treasure the people that we have met and every single day amazes me at the love and dedication that this group of people have to each other. It makes me believe that the world really CAN be a better place.
We found faith again and a church that we love. I think we found each other again too; its been a rocky and rough road at times, but our love comes out shining every single time. I makes me believe that we can get through anything because we've already been through so much. Our daughter found her wings and is flying into her next adventure with flying colors - I am proud of her and her accomplishments every single day and it makes my heart sing to see her developing into such a beautiful woman. Our son and his family are flourishing and adding to their family; 2014 will bring yet another beautiful baby into the family.
So as I sit here and reflect on this past year I am reminded that no matter how many obstacles got in the way, I managed to find a way through them and I am still standing, ready and waiting for what 2014 might bring.
